It's not enough to choose a single color to create a monochromatic decor; it must provoke drama, blend, and harmonize shades and hues, and exalt textures. For this reason, we chose 5 living rooms with this style to use as inspiration.

Vintage Black

Betting on the elegance of black with dark gray tones, this palette appears in most elements, whether they have a more vintage aesthetic or are more contemporary. Darker tones appear on the wall and the floor lamp. Slightly lighter and bluish tones appear on the chaise sofa and the rug with oriental designs. The black and white photograph serves to highlight the decor, along with a modular stand to give a more modern touch.

Military Green

In this space, a single tone of green, with a military vibe, was chosen to cover the wall, furniture, and accessories. Once the base was painted all the same color, accessories come to add more charm to the space: the seat cushions were upholstered with fabric in a tone very similar to the one chosen for the rest, as well as the articulated lamp and the artwork that was painted halfway with the same color in a dip painting effect. To finish, a light green blanket adds comfort and lightness.

Earthy Red

This classic living room features a more earthy shade of red, used on the fabric of the sofa and ottoman. The wall has details that mold it, known as boiseries, and a vintage painting. Showing that not everything needs to be the same color, the cushions bring other shades of red, preventing the result from feeling monotonous.

Ton sur ton

This living room was completely painted black, whether on the walls filled with boiseries or on the staircase next to it. The furniture and accessories appear in lighter shades, in a ton sur ton, revealing various grays until reaching white, which covers the floor and the ceiling with a double-height.

Matte Pink

An earthy pink coats the walls and ceiling, creating a monochromatic effect that brings visual comfort. Painting the ceiling with strong colors is one of the most impactful strategies when decorating a space. Thus, an immediate connection is created with the wooden floor, the coffee tables, and the vintage armchair. Meanwhile, the sofa and the rug appear in gray tones, creating a visual contrast.
