The choreographed elegance of the new collection by Quadro Creations

A Quadro Creations® has just launched its new spring collection. The delivery features an editorial inspired by ballet art, contrasting the common places of skateboarding as an exclusively male environment. The brand, once again, delivers functionality and elegance.

SS19 from Quadro presents a range of pieces that bring more classic shapes and cuts, applied to a contemporary and streetwear concept. There is an efficient blend of synthetic fabrics with natural mesh, ranging from acrylic wool to polyamide. This mix materializes new forms of design and further expresses comfort and identity in the visual.

The palette resembles the traditional colors of the brand but is even more consistent, featuring black accompanied by purple and lighter shades of blue, going through off-white and gray. There are also contrasting complementary pieces in yellow.

The inspiration for the collection came from questions about the role of skateboarding in terms of gender identity and its association with certain objects and interpretations. The discussion arises not only from the increasing presence of women in skateboarding but also from the common perception based on the image of the skateboarder and certain elements of skate culture.

Dancing flows in a rehearsal freely associated but also in contrast to the tricks. Femininity permeates the re-signification of the design presented in the brand's pieces, which develop new dialogues through dressing.

“We thought about bringing this question subjectively, provoking. The idea is to start questioning how skateboarding can behave nowadays,” says Lucas Borges, artistic director of the brand.

The highlight of the collection is the waist bag, a double and functional accessory that can be used both as a fanny pack and as a handbag. The chosen material was Cordura, which is water-resistant, lightweight, and highly durable. The purple strap is made from climbing rope, adding versatility to the model. The bag can be used on various occasions, both in a more sporty and sophisticated way.

The pieces are already available for purchase on the brand's website, and they are also for sale in physical retail stores, such as Block Office
