adidas Originals and Fiorucci collaborate on a symbol of authenticity
Adidas Originals and the Italian brand Fiorucci come together in a new collaboration that celebrates the authenticity of the brands.
Daring, fun, energetic, and designed for women, the collection blends identities that share legacies of iconic design and great cultural significance.
Best known for its cultural dominance during the 80s, when it ruled the market with stretch jeans, the resurgence of Fiorucci in 2017 was driven by famous graphics that project aspiration and joy.
“Inspiration came from the brand's visuals combined with iconic adidas silhouettes. The goal is to create a collection that reinterprets adidas through an energetic and calm feminine lens,” Ebru Ecron, Design Director of adidas Originals.
The first limited edition launch features clothing, shoes, and accessories that match the brand, such as the SAMBAROSE, in a cream colorway with red detailing on the upper and sole.
The campaign also showcases the vision of photographer Jean-Pacôme Dideu, whose clicks mix graphics and intense colors in collages that evoke the past. The adidas Originals Meets Fiorucci collection will be available in Brazil and around the world on February 15 through ecommerce and adidas Originals stores.
