Adidas Originals brings in the project Remember the Future a celebration of a classic 90s sneaker: the Gazelle.

The campaign features a 1993 photo of British model Kate Moss wearing a burgundy Gazelle, taken by Denzil McNeelance and reinterpreted today through the vision of artist Doug Abraham (a.k.a bessNYC4). The image received Doug's characteristics through interventions such as collages, animations, and patterns.
Bess is known for his visually strong and impactful graphic work, using images from major brands as a platform for his conceptual art.

The action explores a certain form of reappropriation of the collective memory of pop culture and fashion, working with icons from both areas, revisiting the past to seek inspirations for the future.

“The Gazelle was THE sneaker that everyone wore and wanted to wear in the 90s. They have this timeless look that simply does not exhaust. I was and always have been an adidas girl,” comments Kate Moss.

Launched in 1968, the Gazelle showcases a clean and timeless design, typically featuring an upper made of suede and a white midsole. The sneaker transitioned from sportswear to casual in the mid-80s, alongside the great popularization of adidas in the United States thanks to Run DMC.

The official relaunch of the Gazelle in Brazil is scheduled for October (no specific date yet), priced at R$280.00.
