Cocks Skate launches new collection #CHOCA01

Cocks was born in 2014, in the city of Belo Horizonte, as a local skate crew. After a year, its founders felt the need to express what they saw and experienced on the streets, and it was then that the group solidified as a brand.

The name has its origins in American vocabulary - Cocks is an English word that means roosters, while at the same time it is used as a slang term referring to the male genitalia.

"We chose this name because we spent nights skateboarding and saw the daybreak - just like the roosters. The English word also has other peculiar meanings, which brings discomfort to those who are not familiar. We like that."

Both meanings have been adopted as a reflection of moments and phases experienced by the creators and founders of Cocks, as well as the athletes who represent the brand.

The new collection, titled #CHOCA01, is the brand's first complete collection. The delivery includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, beanies, shoulder bags, decks, and keychains.

Unlike what is usually done, the collection was not developed with a single identity in focus. This time, the pieces were created separately by each member of the brand and, in the end, formed the delivery.
