Meet the singer and songwriter Aísha
In addition to being an enthusiast and eclectic in matters related to the human mind, spirituality, and innovation, Aisha connects with different narratives. Since she was 3 years old, when she entered the music industry as a singer, she has been striving to convey depth and harmony in each song.
She tells us a little about her journey in music, about sharing the stage with Baco Exu do Blues and her album “AVE,” which will be released next year.
Check out the conversation with the artist below:
1. Did your love for music begin early? What was your first contact with it?
I started singing very young; at 3 years old, I already had my solos in the children's choir at church. I don’t come from a family of artists, but I have always loved art, singing, dancing, painting, crafts, etc. I learned to samba by watching the dancers from É O Tchan! I loved it!

2. You used to do covers on your Youtube channel in the past. How do you think all this eclecticism shaped you as an artist?
I recorded some songs for my channel, but somehow I always focused more on my original work and live performances - especially those with Baco Exu do Blues. I'm also passionate about subjects related to the human mind and spirituality, technology, innovation, and science. I am truly very eclectic, curious, and love to learn new things.

3. We know you are responsible for some of the biggest Brazilian hits we know, such as “Braba” and “Anaconda.” What is it like to be, above all, a songwriter as well as a singer?
It feels great to convey feelings in melodies, to express ideas in the lyrics of a song. I like to go deeper when it comes to composing for another singer, whoever they may be, regardless of what moment they are experiencing. In my creative process, I like to connect deeply with the person in question to go beyond. It was an incredible surprise when Luísa told me she was going to release “Braba,” and even more so when I saw it become a big HIT, which even put Luísa on a new level within the industry.

4. As a pop artist, we know there's a lot of effort from the artist in the construction of their first projects. How was it to launch your first single “Conexão” and what inspired you to create it?
I am a very deep and intuitive person, and along with my partner Fabiô, I wrote “Conexão.” It was born from a dialogue between us about the cycles of life, the lessons learned, and how people are much more than they seem. Life is indeed an infinite web of connections. For the music video, I sought references from the elements of water and air to bring to the language I wanted, connecting to a subjective and unconscious universe.
With the social media team, we had the idea of inviting some of my connections to talk about “Conexão.” I like to bring meaning to all stages of the process, and everything from pre-production to release had a purpose. After all, communication is currently the most powerful connection we have, in my view.

5. How is it for you to balance the routine of following Baco since 2019 and participating in several songs with him while working on your solo career?
Ah, it’s possible to balance everything! Singing with Baco is the most relaxed part of the job; it’s where I can just express myself, have fun, meet new people, new places, be recognized by new individuals, and still shine. In my solo career, I am looking for ways to produce my musical work in a way that represents me and brings my values and the desires of my heart before my ego, or any desire for recognition, fame... My real goal is to somehow touch people's souls; I want them to know they can simply have the freedom to be who they are, to truly love who they are! To find personal power to go beyond any belief, paradigm, obstacle!

6. We already know you are finishing your next album ‘AVE,’ which is expected in 2025. What can we expect from this project?
AVE was born from my need to express the stages of overcoming a trauma, of abuse, of pain. I was a victim of domestic violence when I was 18 years old, along with a series of abuses that accompanied me throughout my life. According to a 2023 survey by DataSenado, about 89% of Brazilian women have suffered psychological violence, and 30% have experienced domestic violence. I had to carry these wounds and try to rise again. Spirituality, self-knowledge, and love were the ways I found to move forward. AVE is about the process of overcoming pain; it’s about the wound that heals and turns into an impulse to transform trauma into strength! I’m doing my best to release this project in 2025; I’m very anxious about it!
