Discover the story of the designer and founder of MadeMe - Erin Magee
The streetwear is a culture that has been increasingly popularized, and new brands with different concepts are frequently emerging. We can say that most brands today are aimed at a male audience, with little female representation in the scene.
Founded in Canada, in a small town outside of Toronto, Erin Magee now resides in New York and is a woman who seeks to represent the female audience in streetwear culture through her brand, titled MadeMe. The designer and stylist has previously worked at the sportswear brand Umbro and served as the Director of Development and Production at Supreme.

"I started MadeMe after working at Supreme for a year and a half. I really felt that anywhere in my career and life, most of the streetwear that existed was for boys, and there wasn’t really anything smart and cool for girls. So I created this side project - it was a bit of a hobby at the time - to give a platform for women and a place where girls could go and buy cool clothes."
- Erin Magee, in an interview with Dazed
Founded by Magee in 2007, MadeMe, whose slogan is by girls, for girls, addresses female behavior in the early 90s, as well as the feminist punk movement, in its collections. With each collection, the brand celebrates these countercultural tribes and the pioneering women who led them.

MadeMe has collaborations with major brands such as the Japanese X-Girl, Stussy, Vans, LESPORTSAC, and Converse. To celebrate the Women's World Cup, Erin Magee was invited by Nike to be one of four designers who developed capsule collections - later presented in Paris - celebrating the occasion.
Erin Magee always seeks to promote her brand to young creatives like her models, artists, and musicians, ensuring that the little representation women have in streetwear is made for - and by - women.
