The Rede Tênis Brasil (RTB) will be sponsored by Lacoste, a global reference brand in Tennis and Fashion Sport. With this partnership, the company becomes the new supplier of sports uniforms for the RTB Team, made up of professional and junior tennis players, and for the RTB social project, Massification Maria Esther Bueno.

The Rede Tênis Brasil, through the social project, has already introduced Tennis to over 50,000 students aged 6 to 12 from public schools across the five regions of the country and currently operates in 11 states, including the Federal District. In addition, the RTB has 2 training centers for high-performance athletes, one in São Paulo and another in Rio de Janeiro.

“Lacoste is a globally recognized brand directly linked to tennis. We are very happy with this partnership and the benefits it will bring not only to the RTB Team but also to the Massification project of the RTB, which presents tennis for free to children in public schools across the country, spreading the practice of such an important sport for personal development, which is still limited to a small part of the Brazilian population,” says Raphael Barone, executive director of the RTB.

“This partnership is essential for us to continue solidifying our presence in Brazilian tennis. Moreover, we have an important role in social responsibility by supporting young and promising athletes. In this context, the RTB is a protagonist in the construction of inclusion and development of sport in the country,” highlights Pedro Zannoni, CEO Latam of Lacoste.

Synonymous with elegance and pioneering spirit, Lacoste created the polo shirt in 1933, in honor of the French tennis player René Lacoste, who was nicknamed “Le Crocodile.”

The short-sleeved cotton shirt with buttons on the collar and a small green crocodile embroidered on the left side became famous and is still coveted worldwide.

The Rede Tênis Brasil aims to be a promoter of Brazilian tennis, developing athletes and coaches, investing in the sport from the introduction of the modality in public schools to the formation of outstanding athletes on the world stage. To help implement the actions, the project has a network of partner gyms and hubs throughout Brazil.

The project originates as an evolution of the Instituto Tênis, which has been using the modality as a tool for transformation through sport since 2002.
