DOD goes to Barcelona and returns in premiere at the Skull
A DOD tailoring launches this Saturday (15), in an exclusive premiere, its new film “BCN DAYS”, in which visual artist André Iosolini follows a day with Brazilian skateboarder Xuxa. The video screening will take place at the store Skull, in São Paulo.
DOD, which comes from the expression Dapper or Dandy, meaning sophistication, is based on the concept of having a unique piece created exclusively for you. The brand offers tailor-made pieces developed with high quality fabrics, unique designs, and traditional yet customized cuts. This translates into the individuality and elegance that the pieces provide.
With the repertoire of its creative director Jubba, DOD brings in its essence the classic skate as a lifestyle. This collaboration was born from identifying the timeless tradition of skateboarding with the contemporary expression of skating in a city like Barcelona.
Xuxa is a Brazilian skateboarder who currently lives in the heart of Catalonia. The video follows a day of her ride, exploring the city of Barcelona through her skateboard.
The images explore Catalan architecture, which is set against the artistic and historical aura that inspires the entire trajectory of skateboarding in the most skateboard-friendly city in the world. This is because, in the city, the skateboard is present in every street, square, or sidewalk. With its smooth terrain, Barcelona is an iconic location for global skate culture.
The event featured by the screening will also have donations of warm clothing and shoes, which will be directed to Casa Dois Skate, and will guarantee an open bar. The drinks will be provided by Jameson and Budweiser. The event will also feature flash tattoos from the resident artists, Caio Nakane and Gabriel Galim. The music will be by DJ Addler. There will also be a best trick session.
The party takes place from 14:00 to 20:00 at Skull, located at Rua Quintana, 719, Brooklin, São Paulo.
