FILA and Guadalupe Store announce the collaboration "Romeo and Juliet" that brings Brazil closer to Italy.
Italy and Brazil have never been closer. FILA, a sports apparel brand celebrating its 110th anniversary in 2021, and Guadalupe Store, a reference store in the national streetwear market, announce the launch of the collab Romeo and Juliet. With a limited edition of sneakers and t-shirts, the partnership fosters a special connection between Brazil and Italy honoring FILA's country of origin and the Bom Retiro neighborhood in São Paulo, where Guadalupe was founded and which was once a stronghold of Italian culture in the city.
To honor the Italian legacy of the brands, the collab Romeo and Juliet focuses on both the traditional work of Shakespeare, which takes place in Italy, and one of the most typical creations of national cuisine, which is the combination of cheese with guava paste.
The sneakers feature the colors of the dessert, in white and red, as well as the embroidery of “Romeo” and “Juliet” and the coordinates of Guadalupe and Veneto, the city where the romance takes place, on each shoe.
The model is a customization of the 88, a classic silhouette of FILA that integrates the White Line line which brought colors to the tennis courts - in the FILA Heritage collection, composed of iconic products with sophisticated design and Italian DNA. The collection also includes a t-shirt with the illustration of the famous literary couple in love, which is also found on the insole of the sneakers. The creation of the pieces is signed by Pedro Andrade, founder and designer of Piet.
The items from the collab Romeo and Juliet will be available at Guadalupe Store and on the FILA website (www.fila.com.br) starting October 1st. The sneakers cost R$ 399.90 and the t-shirt R$ 129.00.
