Guadalupe launches app for purchasing sneakers

The sale of limited edition sneakers has become increasingly complex around the world, and in Brazil it is no different. To outsmart bots and resellers and ensure a more democratic sale for collectors and enthusiasts, innovation in the mechanics has become necessary and is still a challenge today.

In an effort to establish a fairer shopping experience, Guadalupe launched an app entirely dedicated to the sale of sneakers through a raffle system. The system also ensures that more end consumers have access to the products, as the app serves all of Brazil (with exceptions for some models that can only be picked up in-store, according to each brand's sales strategy).

According to Pedro Prado, one of the partners at Guadalupe, one of the biggest challenges in developing the app was matching the data of those who register on the app and ensuring that the sender is the same, to avoid fraud in the mechanics.

To use the app, previous registration with simple information, such as name and email, is required. After confirmation, data such as address, CPF, and credit card number (the only accepted payment method) are requested to make purchases. When the user enters the raffle and is drawn, the purchase happens automatically, with the amount being debited from the card.

The app's interface is intuitive and simple: the launches are highlighted, with information such as images, name, price, product description, and registration deadline for the raffle. Just below, the app's editorial session functions like a blog, where it is possible to follow news related to the store and the products sold there.

The app is already available for Android and iOS.
