Havaianas introduces a new model and points out trends for the future of sandals with the launch of Tradi Zori.
In 1962, Havaianas created what would become the best-selling sandal
in the world. Inspired by the Zoris, the ancient Japanese sandals made from rice straw, the "Traditionals," or "Tradis," as some call them, were the first iconic design that won fans all over the world.

Now, almost sixty years later, the Japanese origins merge with this unique design to bring Havaianas into the world of streetwear, introducing to the world the Tradi Zori, a completely new shape in the world of flip-flops, filled with characteristics of street fashion: a sturdier sole, innovation in the upper material, and all of this without losing the essence of Havaianas.
“Tradi Zori is Havaianas' vision for the future and the creation of a new icon. A new way to combine tradition and provoke disruption, presenting something completely new through the revival of our origins. We are building something different and very authentic, which surprises even our biggest fans, as they do not expect such a significant change,” comments Fernanda Romano – Global Marketing Director of Havaianas.


The new Tradi Zori has a product design and technology different from the classics of the segment. Its squarer sole shape recalls the Japanese sandal Zori. Its triple-layer sole brings superior comfort and more stability for use in urban centers, where people walk more. The toe strap is made from fabric, which adds modernity and comfort, and, because it resembles terrycloth, provides more robustness to the sandal, making it more modern and creative.


The seven color variations of Tradi Zori are not by chance. All of them refer to the most popular combinations of the “Traditional” model, among them, the first version – and most iconic – blue and white.
You can now find the new Tradi Zori from Havaianas in the e-shop of the brand with sizes ranging from 35/6 to 45/6.
