Isolated in the mountains
Built amidst the mountains, in Recanto Maestro-Rio Grande do Sul, by the architecture office Bá-Boa Arquitetura, of Rafael Lorentz, the house emerges from a curve suggested by the terrain, materialized through a thick wall in white concrete.
The two main spaces, the bedroom and living room, face the sunrise and the valley that opens up from the land, being united by a continuous balcony that serves as the interface between the exterior and interior.
The main material of the construction is in-situ molded white concrete, where the marks of the work during its execution were left visible. Floors and ceilings were made of natural wood, to better integrate the environment with the landscape, and the terrace can be accessed by an external metal staircase, creating a viewpoint over the house to appreciate the valley that opens to the east.
The use of a green roof ensures excellent thermal comfort inside the house, both in winter and summer.
