'THIS IS OFF THE WALL', Vans' campaign brings skateboarders from around the world in its new edition.
The 2019 edition of This Is Off The Wall kicks off with “Vanguards,” an exploration of how style, individuality, and creativity shape skateboarding, through the eyes of the female skaters from the Vans team, the Americans Brighton Zeuner and Lizzie Armanto, the Japanese Mami Tezuka and the Brazilian Yndiara Asp.
The edition represents Vans' commitment to supporting the growth of skateboarding. In 2018, Vans embarked on a global initiative to help teach women of all ages to skateboard through a series of skate clinics aimed at introducing a new form of expression for women, while empowering the skate community through new perspectives. Following a commitment to supporting and helping skaters around the world, introducing a new series of workshops and clinics focused on women's skateboarding worldwide, starting on March 8, 2019, International Women's Day.
“The campaign focuses not only on telling the stories of four women but invites everyone to experience the creativity that surrounds what we love most: skateboarding,” said April Vitkus, Senior Director of Global Brand for Vans.
Throughout the year, Vans will showcase experiences from the “Vanguards” campaign at the global stages of Vans Park Series with clinics, exhibitions, and activations curated by local skaters and the participants of the recent campaign themselves.
“Vanguards” is the first chapter of THIS IS OFF THE WALL in 2019, with more stories scheduled for the coming months. Discover the campaign at OFFTHEWALL and be part of this story alongside Vans with #OffTheWall on social media.
