KAMIKAZE Store: RATSUO opens a pop-up with an exclusive collection

A RATSUO, brand of customization by the plastic artist Pedro Matsuo, launched on the first day of this month its first fully customized pop-up to provide the public with a unique approach and sensation with the brand.

The name given to the pop-up was KAMIKAZE STORE, which was entirely designed to allow the public to reach the innermost aspects of all of Pedro Matsuo's art, that is, the core of his artistic expression, his episode with overdose in 2014. The works displayed throughout the store demonstrate one of the nightmares and emotional moments experienced by Pedro while he was in a coma and going through the rehabilitation period.

The nightmare chosen by Pedro to be portrayed in the pop-up was one of the most striking for him, where the artist found himself in a sewer on the brink of his death and his family was crying, while he was sinking into the tears of this crying; this, in fact, is the reason for the consistency of vertical continuous lines marked on the walls of the store, symbolizing the bars of this sewer.

For the pop-up, RATSUO launched a range of in-house produced items with graphic prints and paintings, as well as customized items that vary from t-shirts, jackets, pants, accessories, and various models of Nike sneakers. To present the entire collection, the brand will hold a fashion show for guests next Saturday, August 17.

The KAMIKAZE will be open until August 31 in the city of Porto Alegre, located at Rua Barão do Santo Ângelo, 162, store 2, Moinhos de Vento, from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and from Friday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, but the artist already hints that he is preparing to launch it soon in São Paulo.
