Nike launches Vapormax and a clothing collection made from recyclable material

With the aim of protecting the future of sports in pursuit of a more sustainable planet with zero carbon emissions and zero waste throughout its entire production chain, Nike envisioned the movement Move to Zero. Accelerating its initiatives towards circular design, the brand presents its most advanced efforts to incorporate sustainability into its products: the  Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit and the Revival collection with casual pieces that include t-shirts, sweatshirts, and windrunners.

The Nike Air Vapormax 2020 Flyknit is one of the most sustainable shoes in Nike's history and takes the spirit of circular design to a new level. Made with at least 50% of its weight made from recycled material, it comes with a Vapormax Air unit made with about 75% recyclable materials, which stretches from end to end, and is the result of an approach that prioritizes sustainability of materials.

The collection, which is named Revival, was created with minimal environmental impact. It blends recycled polyester, sustainable cotton, and innovative dyeing technology, resulting in super comfortable clothing. All pieces in the set meet 90% or more of the efficiency requirements, as they use virtually only recycled materials.

The new Nike Sportswear Windrunner jacket, now unlined, is made from 100% recycled polyester and unique weave. The adjustment cords and zipper are also made from Nike Grind.

The hoodie, t-shirt, pants, and shorts are essential pieces of a men's wardrobe. They have all been redesigned with sustainability at the center of the process. These classic models offer comfort for everyday wear and have a casual style. Each of them contains a blend of at least 60% organic and recycled fabrics, using new production methods that reduce production waste.

Meanwhile, the women's pieces from the Revival collection provide the feeling of maximum comfort. They include an ultra-soft dress, shorts, and a shirt, all with a minimum of 60% organic and recycled fabrics. The recycled cotton in the clothing is made with less water and chemicals, improving farming practices and ensuring quality equal to or better than conventional cotton.

The Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit and the Revival collection will be available starting July 28 at nike.com and at selected retailers.
