Throughout the year, Nike has re-released three OG versions of the Air Max 1 to celebrate the thirty years of the iconic model by Tinker Hatfield. This time, the Swoosh brand promises to re-launch the not so famous colorway 'Obsidian', to complete the original pack released in the late 80s, which consisted of four colors, where two were feminine – 'Game Royal' and 'Aqua' – and two masculine – 'University Red' and 'Obsidian'.

Nike's advertisement from the late 80s says "Cushioning that lasts forever and ever. Amen. - The Nike Air Max is the world's best cushioned running shoe. Even more important, the cushioning never wears out. So it'll absorb shock from here to eternity. It's Nike-Air. And is a revolution in motion."[/caption]

Initially launched in 1988 and last seen in 2013, the Nike Air Max 1 OG 'Obsidian' returns with minor changes in materials and construction, similar to those of the latest OG releases, which were inspired by the Golden Era – the late 90s and early 2000s – of AM1.

The model features parts of the upper in white and 'Neutral Grey', while the Swoosh and the mudguard appear in 'Obsidian'. Touches of red appear on the insole, tageyelet and on the 'Nike Air' embroidered on the heel panel.

The pair will land in Brazil on December 14 – on the e-commerce of Nike and at authorized retailers – and will cost 549.90.
