Pornograffiti in a rescue of the raver essence of the 90s

Pornograffiti has just presented its new capsule collection, made in partnership with British illustrator FauxFlyers, referencing the English rave movement of the 90s.

Born in the countryside of Paraná, the brand is already known for its collaborations with parties and collectives in Brazil. Now, its first international collaboration has arrived. FauxFlyers is a British illustrator who creates real flyers for imaginary raves, capturing the spirit of this intense movement that took place in England.

The meeting happened through social media. Profile searches led FauxFlyers to Pornograffiti, and the partnership was born. Caio D’Andréa, the creator of the brand, was already aiming for a neon collection, with vibrant colors and more open art, and decided to test using the artist's illustrations combined with the characteristic visual identity of Pornograffiti.

This retro 90s line carries intense colors and also reinterprets characters such as Jerry from Tom & Jerry, Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, Captain Planet, Ninja Turtles, and various other cartoons that were popular at the time, in addition to some striking icons and keywords like Acid, Disco, Rave, and Squat.

The collaboration resulted in a delivery of T-shirts, windbreakers, shorts, and a fanny pack. The brand recently launched the fanny pack and T-shirts, selling out a good part of what was produced. Artist FauxFlyers agreed to create an exclusive illustration for the brand, reinterpreting our Mônica.

Check out the promotional images of the T-shirt below, which is available on the brand's website.
