Cabbage and the post-streetwear

Introduced by us in the editorial Tees, Cabbage started like most Brazilian streetwear brands, offering printed t-shirts - but from the very beginning with an original identity. Over the past 3 years, the evolution and maturation of the creations offered in each collection has paved the way for a "new" niche, post-streetwear.

Contrary to what the mainstream media has preached, post-streetwear is not the supposed revolution of Hedi Slimane at Celine, nor the return of elegance presented by Kim Jones at Dior. The term coined about 4 years ago refers to a still small movement of people and brands who rethink street style in a non-obvious way and with references from classic menswear.

The gradual evolution can be easily noticed in the lookbooks and even in the product range on the brand's website. The recent introduction of tailoring in shorts, pants and jackets contrasts with the nylon sets. The t-shirts, now more sober, leaving some of the old personas aside, bring a new phase of experimentation, focused on the quality and authenticity of contemporary urban wear, without neglecting their roots in skateboarding.

The new collection is already available on the e-commerce platform of Cabbage.
