SonoTWS invites 6 MCs for the EP "Perfectly Incorrect Vol.1"

SonoTWS started 2020 with the acclaimed album “Together”, made in partnership with the Jamaican/London MC Bad FX. Next, he had two more albums lined up, but like everyone else, he had to change his plans. Despite that, he didn’t stop completely. He came up with the idea to create a project featuring just 6 emerging MCs from the Brazilian underground.

“I already had a track with BONSAI... Fernando Kep reached out saying he also wanted to make one. Then it clicked for me to do an EP solely with the crowd from underground rap, who are hustling, and release at least a couple of volumes,” says Sono.

To the team, the beatmaker/producer also added Nabru, Estranho, GUIZO, and MMoneis. Each of them helped build, brick by brick, the EP “Perfectly Incorrect”. The heavy boom-baps create the layers for the rappers to share their verses. Some in an intense manner, others with more moderation. But all contribute to keeping the sound atmosphere outside the predetermined standards, as the title suggests. They swim against the tide. And this is just the first marathon in a series.

“My idea is... when I release volume 2, I will drop the compilation of 1 and 2 on a cassette tape. To be honest, I want more volumes to come in the future.”

The EP “Perfectly Incorrect Vol. I” can already be heard on platforms under the Tired Of People label. SonoTWS himself signs all the productions, with mixing and mastering by CESRV. The cover art is by Yakuza Ruma (Japan). The instrumental version will arrive on streaming services on October 8th.
