A remake of the movie "White Men Can't Jump" will be produced soon.
Originally produced in 1992 by Ron Shelton and starring Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes (Billy Hoyle and Sidney Deane, respectively), the classic sports comedy "White Men Can't Jump" will soon receive a remake.
The new version of the film will be written and produced by Kenya Barris, known for creating the popular series Black-ish. Barris has teamed up with the production company Mortal Media, founded by players Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers) and Ryan Kalil (Carolina Panthers) to develop the project.
The screenplay of the original film presents a plot where Billy Hoyle and Sidney Deane meet in a street game, which initially leads to a rivalry and soon after to a partnership that results in cheating in games and basketball tournaments around Los Angeles.
