See everything that happened at the Rider Festival #WeCanDoIt
Last Saturday (17) the #DáPraFazer Festival took place, conceived by Rider in partnership with the hub NOIX.
The event brought to light the theme 'The Street Creates', bringing together various brands, collectives, and artists who co-create and modify street culture in different parts of Brazil. The program featured a street market with 40 brands selected for their connection to street culture, strengthening the local fashion scene and national production.
On stage R1, the bands Raça, O Terno Rei performed under the curation of the label Balaclava Records. Following, Emicida took the stage to amplify the voices from the street. The rapper's show also featured very special female guests. Three emerging women in the national rap scene: Áurea Semiséria, from Salvador and discovered by the Amazonian rapper Mirapotira, Dory de Oliveira, from the outskirts of Itaquera and author of empowering rhymes, and the Carioca Yas Werneck, who is also a math teacher and poet. Afterward, the collective Heavy Baile brought carioca funk to the stage, and then presented ÀTTØØXXÁ, a group of producers, MCs, and creative musicians who took underground Bahian music to another level through a diversity of rhythms. The event was closed by the electronic group TETO PRETO, launched by the label Mamba Negra from São Paulo.
The outcome of the event was a significant transformation of downtown Rio de Janeiro into a stage for cultural exchange among Brazil's most intense lifestyle movements at the moment, all stemming from a common point: street culture.
