Bvlgari, recognized as one of the most relevant and bold luxury brands in its sophistication in the market, now presents the — ‘Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts’. And to mark this moment, the maison highlights the concern and care to elevate the concept of luxury hospitality, with the opening of its newest venture in the iconic Piazza Augusto Imperatore. The hotel is the ninth in the brand's collection and arrives as a tribute to Bvlgari's hometown, uniting history, design, and an immersion in Roman culture.

Designed with 114 rooms and suites, the hotel expresses the essence of the ACPV Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel studio, which was responsible for developing the design of all Bvlgari hotels and resorts around the world. Meanwhile, Studio Polis, under the direction of architect Gennaro Farina, proved essential in curating the design, restoring the building, and urban planning — ensuring that the project not only preserved the area but also respected the grandeur of the place.

And when we talk about a hotel that proves to be not only luxurious and privileged, the privilege stands out in its location and view: the Bvlgari Hotel Roma is situated in the heart of the Campo Marzio neighborhood, surrounded by historical monuments, such as the Mausoleum of Augustus and the Ara Pacis, symbolic places that enhance the narrative of the Roman Empire. Additionally, around the hotel are Via del Corso, Via del Babuino, the Spanish Steps, and the iconic flagship of Bvlgari on Via Condotti.

The building was designed to carry a clear and sophisticated vision of its historical heritage within its own construction. Built between the mid-1936 and 1938, it was inaugurated in 1950 by then Italian Prime Minister Alcide De Gasperi and is considered a remarkable example of rationalist architecture in the city. It is clear that, despite all the privilege and location, the new Roman hotel stands out not only for that and its unique architecture. What also stands out in the new space are the luxury experiences that extend to all details, through a design that reflects the essence and aesthetics of Bvlgari and its connection with Italian craftsmanship.

Another highlight of the venture is emphasized by its gastronomy, featuring a restaurant led by Chef Niko Romito, a reference in Italian haute cuisine. In addition, all guests can enjoy a panoramic terrace with a stunning 360° view of Rome — aiming to deliver a remarkable experience for every moment spent in the new hotel. Reinforcing its relationship with art and culture, the Bvlgari Hotel Roma has a public library specializing in main themes such as art and Roman architecture. It also exhibits sculptures from the prestigious Torlonia Collection, including a statue of Emperor Augustus that welcomes visitors in the entrance hall.

“It is not just a new jewel of the Eternal City but a true contemporary and innovative Roman monument that unites the best of hospitality and gastronomy and sets a new global standard,” states the CEO of the Bvlgari Group, Jean-Christophe Babin, about the new hotel.

Vincenzo Falcone, general manager of the venture, reinforces by saying that “it has all the elements to become one of the best hotels in the world,” highlighting the sophisticated design of the space, as well as the gastronomic experience and the relationship with the historical heritage of the city.

In addition to the new venture, the brand highlights this new cycle in partnership with Atomic Production — the documentary “An Emperor's Jewel — The Making of the Bvlgari Hotel Roma". Directed by Andrea Rovetta, the film provides a particular and meticulous view of the creation of the hotel, connecting all aspects of the design and essence of the brand with the tradition and craftsmanship of Italy. In total, there were 50 days of filming, where all production efforts concentrated to dive into the roots of architectural details and, mainly, the challenges of restoring the building — highlighting the more than 300 artisans who participated in the project.

The documentary draws a parallel between the construction of the hotel and the jewelry art of Bvlgari, evidencing how each detail was conceived to reflect the identity of the fashion house. Additionally, the film features interviews with the CEO of Bvlgari, Jean-Christophe Babin, architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, and the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri — reinforcing the importance of the project for the city. One of the most special moments of the recordings is the unveiling of a jewel, created exclusively to celebrate the new hotel. The piece is a high jewelry necklace adorned with an original Roman coin from Emperor Augustus, worn by Priyanka Chopra Jonas at the inauguration party.

With this, it is clear that Bvlgari is an expert in merging luxury, culture, and tradition in a unique way. And the Bvlgari Hotel Roma and its documentary are the result of this — consolidating not only the new space in the Italian capital but also redefining the standards of global hospitality.
