Felipe Oliveira and sustainable customization
In addition to being a skateboarder and tattoo artist, Felipe Oliveira is a creative mind in constant development. His journey in skateboarding began early, in childhood, during the same phase in which he customized his clothes for the first time, cutting pants and shirts. The 24-year-old from Bahia - originally from Salvador - came to spend the season in São Paulo and talked to NOTTHESAMO about his journey, his creative processes, and his participation in the latest Converse CONS campaign.
Books, spray paint cans, kites, and various drawings on the walls make up the studio where Felipe customizes pieces for Wordxit, his brand. Recycled materials are fundamental elements, and although he does not raise a flag, he highlights:
"By researching various things, I discovered that a large part of the trash that really screws up the planet is leftover fabric, scraps of clothing, and leftover thread"

The outlines of his tattoos camouflage among the hand-drawn designs on jackets and pants. Some of the pieces feature graphics that refer to skateboarding, while others carry symbols and free illustrations. Today, Felipe uses various platforms to convey his message. One of them is the CVO SKT, the first model of shoes that the creative received from Converse, 7 years ago. Check out the full interview in the video below:
