Festival Rider #YouCanDoIt takes place in Rio de Janeiro

The Rider Festival #DáPraFazer is happening in its second edition in Rio de Janeiro, on Saturday, March 17.
In the first edition, the festival focused on understanding how to co-create with the independent culture of different areas of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Over four weekends, the makers took over Rio with more than 100 attractions involving art and culture, with workshops, talks, exhibitions, and shows. The central idea was to connect the makers from each region and pulse the underground heart of independent art in the city.
This year, the Rider brings the concept The Street Creates as a central point of connection that extends across Brazil. The main goal is to gather and project on a larger scale artists and collectives that are protagonists of the new lifestyle movements taking over the entire country, but that have as their starting point for creation the street culture of major cities like Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Recife, and Salvador. It was from the cultural energy coming from street culture that these movements began to inhabit the collective unconscious of the new generation, interlinking makers, fusing cultures from different cities in the country, and giving rise to new aesthetic languages and behavior trends.
The event will feature the presence of more than 40 streetwear brands and thrift stores from different states, such as Laboratório Fantasma, Bolovo, Singapore, Öus, Surreal São Paulo, Thrift A Rua e Vida, Limbo Projects, sickhead co., Ru, No Future Brand, Philadelphia Company and Billion Vibez, in a market that will strengthen the independent movement in fashion. Check out the complete list of brands that will be present at the event in this link.
The musical program will have jams sessions curated by Balaclava Records, which brings together the bands Raça and Terno Rei. Heavy Baile invites the Bahia collective Attooxxa to liven up the party, and Comuna+Teto Preto will also be present at the event. During the afternoon, there will also be an exclusive attraction, which will only be revealed on the 16th.

The co-creation and organization of the event were overseen by NOIX, a hub of researchers, creatives, and artists that manages cultural projects. They were also responsible for the first edition of the festival and for all the movement and investigation that has been occurring on the part of the Rider within the independent scene, such as Rider #NaBeca.
The festival will take place at Largo Alexandre Herculano, next to Praça Tiradentes, in downtown Rio.
