New collaboration between Adidas and Pokras Lampas
The Brazilian Pérola Dutra has just clicked an editorial for the Portuguese Yousocks in the city of São Paulo.
The Portuguese brand has just arrived with an urban style, referenced in various artistic movements. In just over 6 months, Yousocks is discovering itself, but it is presenting quality work, with a collection of very colorful socks and a strong visual identity that has matured over the past few years.
João Oliveira, the founder of the brand, told us that he was born in Florianópolis and has always been close to fashion. His parents owned a clothing factory. Living in Porto, he combined his creative desire with the work of other designers, João Castro, founder of The Royal Studio and later, Ana Areais to create a brand experienced in his life experiences, travels, and in street art, music, and internet culture.
Yousocks values the artistic freedom of each individual, which is why it selected various photographers from around the world to provide their creative input on the pieces. Brazil has always been an inspiration. "From Tim Maia to Racionais, who made timeless songs. We also want to create timeless products," says João.
Pérola told us that the brand discovered her work through her account on Instagram, and she had the opportunity to cast her gaze on Yousocks socks, just as happened with photographers from the UK, Belgium, and Armenia.
The photographer has only 5 years of activity, but she has been standing out for her unique style and is working with several important brands. Rannieri Silva and Isabela Machado (also responsible for styling) are the couple of models who star in the photos and bring even more presence to the editorial. They had previously worked together, which is why there is a strong synergy in the construction of the shoot.
The photos were taken in São Paulo and have a very urban style, with a strong grain and surrounded by a golden light with a strong play of shadows.
The socks are now available at yousocks.com. Check out some photos from the editorial:
