Sony announced today the DualSense, the new controller for its upcoming console, the PlayStation 5, which is expected to be released at the end of 2020.

The new controller, DualSense, will have a more sensitive haptic feedback to the situations presented in the games, and two adaptive triggers on the L2 and R2 buttons, which will replicate different levels of pressure and tension.

Another change is the replacement of the Share button ("compartilhar") with the Create button ("criar"). According to the description, it will continue to have the same functionality. The new controller will also feature a built-in microphone.

Sony claims that it has taken into account the new features to try to reduce the weight of the controller while extending its battery life. Furthermore, it states that the new design aims to make it feel smaller in the hands than it appears in photos.
