Everything you need to know about Maze Fest 2018
After the first edition of the event, Maze is preparing the second edition of the largest streetwear event in Latin America, Maze Fest, the festival that promotes a connection with the urban cultural universe.
Skateboarding championships, sneaker fairs, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and shows are the attractions that take place at the event.
Some artists have already been confirmed, such as Black Alien, who will perform his first show on the commemorative tour of 25 years of the classic "Babylon By Gus, Vol. 1". There will also be a performance by the indie rock group, Nada Surf, which is returning to Brazil after 7 years since their last show. And for the first time in Brazil, Maze will bring MadeInTYO to the party stage, the owner of the hit "Uber Everywhere" and who has had singles remixed by none other than Travis Scott and Tory Lanez.
The Maze Street Ages is the skateboarding championship that will again take place at the event, divided into 4 contests, and the skaters will compete for the champ, honoring the four decades of skateboarding, as well as the references from Dogtown in the 70s to the craze of bowl and street skating in the year 2000.
To lead the Talks, Maze Fest has already confirmed Rachel Muscat, global director of Adidas, a female icon in the sneaker and streetwear scene. Todd Francis, an artist who has developed several iconic graphics for skateboard brands like Antihero, Real, Spitfire, Stereo, and Element. For the first time in Brazil, Ben Horton, founder and art director of $lave Skateboards. Eric Koston, a skateboarder with a significant influence on the evolution of skateboarding through projects like The Berrics, in addition to his memorable pro models. Brock Cardiner, content director of Highsnobiety, the world's largest portal about streetwear, responsible for the content development team of the platform. And, for the second time, Jeff Staple, founder of Staple Design, of Reed Pages magazine, and partner of the Boutique Extra Butter in New York. In addition to participating in the Talks, artists Ben Horton and Todd Francis will also showcase their individual works at the event.
The festival will have an immense structure for all attractions, lounges, bars, food parks, and other accommodations for those who join. Moreover, the event promoting cultural entertainment will feature some of the main launches of the second semester of 2018 while the event is happening.
