Vans Park Series takes place in São Paulo this holiday.

The first stage of Vans Park Series takes place this Friday (1) and Saturday (2) in São Paulo, at the new Vans skatepark located in Parque Cândido Portinari. The event is free.

The new skatepark kicks off its activities for 2018 with the first global qualifying stage of the championship. On the 1st, the competition starts at 11 AM, with the women's qualifiers and semi-finals, followed by the men's qualifiers. On the second day, starting at noon, the women's final will take place, followed by the men's semi-final and final. On Saturday, the event will be broadcast live in English and Portuguese, at www.ETNlive.com and www.vansparkseries.com. And also through the app VPS App for iOS.

In addition to the competition, Vans will promote other events and activities during the holiday. On Wednesday (30), Thrasher Magazine will host a party to present the premiere of the new film 'Silver Era' by Drop Dead.  Featuring parts from Pedro Barros, Vi and Leo Kakinho, Pedro Carvalho, and more Brazilian skaters, starting at 10 PM.

On Thursday, starting at 4 PM, the VISS (Vista Sound System) will take place at Casa Vista and Casa do Mancha, located at Rua Felipe Alcaçova, 73, in Vila Madalena. There will be an exhibition on the construction of Vans Skatepark São Paulo, an exhibition 'Girls Skate' starring Vans skaters Yndi Asp and Dora Varella, DJs Esteves and Mayra Maldjian will run the set, in addition to live shows from the bands Deb and the Mentals and Tranco.

After the championship on Saturday, the official Vans Park Series party will take place in São Paulo at Void General Store, located at Rua Martim Carrasco, 56, in Pinheiros.

Finally, on Sunday (3), there will be an event at Pug Skatepark.
