Nike São Paulo Run: everything you need to know
The Nike São Paulo Run promises to be a milestone for runners, with an event that will combine experiences, innovation, and challenges. The race, which will take place on July 14th, with different distances and routes, celebrates what unites all lovers: the love for running and the desire to take over the streets of São Paulo.
The events will kick off on the 12th and 13th, with the Nike São Paulo Run Expo at the Bienal do Parque Ibirapuera. The space, besides being the official location for kit pickup, will also provide a complete immersion in the world of running with unique experiences, such as a pop-up store, cheers zones, photo opportunities, product testing, musical attractions, and talks. Pop-up Store: Launch of the special Nike São Paulo Run collection, including finisher t-shirts, casual t-shirts, jackets, and sweatshirts, all customized to celebrate the event.
Cheers Zone: Access to a space with markers and stickers available for customizing encouragement posters for family and friends participating in the race.
Photo Opportunity: Three Instagram-worthy panels will be set up especially for event participants to take photos to share on social media.
Product Testing: An opportunity to try the newly launched Pegasus 41 with the guidance of pacers so that runners can feel the benefits of the product and make the best purchasing decision.
Positive Impact: As a way to elevate some of the initiatives that comprise Nike's social impact portfolio, three partnerships will play a prominent role at the Expo: the NGO Projeto Vida Corrida will present a collection of clothing made from reused umbrellas - in addition to collecting items for new productions; and the CIEE (Centro de Integração Empresa-Escola), along with Instituto JB12, will be the organizations responsible for engaging and involving young volunteers in the event.
Musical Attraction: During Saturday, the sound will be led by DJs Vitória Nicolau (@vitorianicolau) and Suelen Mesmo (@suelenmesmo).
Activations from sponsors and supporters: Itaú Uniclass, BMW Group, Dobro, and Pacco.
Inspirational Talks: Conversations with sports professionals, renowned athletes, nutritionists, physical educators, influencers, and artists, exploring sports performance, the social and cultural impact of running.
THE KIT T-SHIRT:
Completely black, the t-shirt features the inscription "Nike São Paulo Run" on the front. In the men's version, the Swoosh will be on the left side of the chest; in the women's version, it will be centered. Both t-shirts feature the new Swoosh Run on the back. The runner's kit consists of the race t-shirt, a gymsack, and a bib number (chip). The premium runner's kit includes all the items mentioned in the runner's kit but with the added benefit of a visor. After crossing the finish line, all runners will receive a medal for the race.

RACE DAY:
On July 14th, participants will face the challenge of the Nike São Paulo Run with starts in four different regions of the city:
West Zone: Memorial da América Latina (5K)
Center: Pateo do Collegio (10K)
East Zone: Centro de Esportes da Mooca (15K)
South Zone: Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral (21K)
Throughout the race, Nike and Dobro will provide “cheer zones” for family and friends who wish to cheer for a runner on race day. In addition to DJ Suelen Mesmo, there will be a band and bike system to animate the spectators, as well as various items such as: banners, foam hands, megaphones, big mascots, posters, and more. The special areas for “cheer zones” will be spread across the following points:
Arcos - At the junction of Praça Artesãos Calabreses with Viaduto Jaceguai
Paraíso - Avenida 23 de Maio, at the height of Rua Coronel Oscar Porto
In addition to being present at the “cheer zones”, Dobro will also distribute customized carbohydrate gels along the routes specifically for the race.
POST-RACE ARENA:
Upon crossing the finish line, runners will be welcomed with exclusive experiences, such as:
Recovery Area: A complete recovery structure, including compression boots, ice baths, massages, and all necessary support after the race. Access to the area will be limited only to runners and requires the presentation of the Nike App.
Medals Engraving: Runners will be able to immortalize their race finish times with the medal engraving service. A tent in the square will offer this service, which will be exclusive to users of the Nike App.
Photography Studio: Runners will be able to immortalize the moment in a photography studio that will offer printed photos as a special keepsake of the event.
Photo opp: Large letters with the Nike logo will be spread throughout Praça Charles Miller, offering areas for photo opportunities.
Sponsors and supporters: Activations and giveaways from Itaú Uniclass, BMW Group, Corona Cero, Dobro, DUX Nutrition, Gatorade, and YoPro.
Awards: The first, second, and third place finishers in the four distances will receive a trophy, a voucher to be used on the Nike website, and products from Pacco and Dux.
Musical Celebration: DJs Ubunto (@ubunto3mundo) and Tomboy (@mechamadetomboy) will liven up the party for the participants.
Some of the activations will have limited spots, and in addition, for some of them, it will be necessary to have the Nike App installed on the phone to participate.
KIT PICKUP:
Date: July 12 and 13, 2024
Time: Friday from 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Location: Bienal Parque Ibirapuera – Av. Pedro Álvares Cabral - Gate 4
The kit pickup will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Nike Expo is open to the public. To participate in the talks, no prior registration is required; just show up at the desired time.
