The Chuck 70 is the essential sneaker for your style
The Converse Chuck Taylor is one of the most famous and recognized sneakers in the world. Its timeless and versatile design has permeated from the courts to the streets and today adorns the feet of thousands of people around the globe. Originally, the sneaker was launched in 1917 and, over more than a century, has undergone adaptations and reinterpretations. But it was in the 1970s that the sneaker gained its most iconic and detailed version.

The Chuck 70, as it is called today, brings significant and large differences when compared to the traditional model. Although it has a similar design, the look and construction are sturdier, yet still with a noticeable refinement. The canvas that forms its upper is thicker and more durable, weighing 340g, supported by reinforced stitching. The rubber sole appears taller, at 35mm, while the midsole and the toe cap are finished with a shine. The patch found on the heel finishes the sneaker's details with great class.

It is no wonder that the Chuck 70 is the sneaker chosen as the main platform for Converse's collaborations with renowned names in the fashion circuit. JW Anderson, Comme des Garçons, Off-White, and Carhartt are some of the brands that have reinterpreted this classic through different and unusual perspectives. One of Tyler, The Creator's favorite models, the silhouette has gained various new colors and materials, such as velvet, resulting from the collaboration Converse x GOLF le FLEUR. Lesser-known brands, yet wrapped in a cool status, have also entered the collab circuit, such as Brain Dead, Midnight Studios, and Babylon L.A. All these connections reaffirm the C70 as an essential contemporary item for anyone, especially for fashion enthusiasts.

After being introduced in Brazil in August 2018, the model will be sold more frequently by Converse in the country, alongside other silhouettes from the brand, such as Chuck Taylor All Star, One Star, and ERX, among others.
